ZOMBIES ON ICE

Victor wasn't sure if he and Yuuri had been lucky when it came to skating events. Their first assignments had been separate which meant that Victor could focus on being a coach in one event, and a competitor in the second. However when it came to the Trophée de France, both of them had been assigned to this single event. Victor had wanted to be happy to be in Paris with Yuuri, but they really didn't have time to sight-see. The ISU wasn't going to give him a break just because he wanted to both of the things that made him happy.

The event was almost underway. The crowds were settling in, the competitors were getting ready. He had to try to make sure that Yuuri was ready while also dodging the 'tcks' coming from Yakov because he hadn't spent as much time as he should have doing his own practice.

Then the mood in the arena changed. Things should have been the same as every other competition. However, this time, rather than ushering the first competitor to the ice, there were screams and then the crowd seemed to become one massive, panicked creature. People were running, trying to escape the arena.

The first thought that came to Victor's mind was terrorism, and what mattered most to him was getting Yuuri to safety.

The competitors were ushered backstage, away from the screaming and movement, as staff tried to get everyone somewhere they could be protected. Victor found Yuuri in the fray and grabbed at his hand. "Was anyone hurt?" he asked, looking around. He could see Otabek, Yuri (thankfully, he sighed in relief at the sight of the boy], Emil, and the other competitors and their coaches around the room.

"Where's Yakov?" he asked of Yurio. Their shared coach at been with the teen the last he had seen of him. He wasn't aware that Yakov had stormed off to find out exactly what was going on and how he could get his boys (which, somehow, now included Yuuri) away from the panic.

Renaissance Faire

The normal skating schedule puts events in the winter. It makes sense, considering that the cold and ice tend to go together well. That does mean that if Victor Nikiforov finds himself in the Netherlands during August there is some other reason for it.

Castlefest is an event that has apparently called to him strongly enough that he finds himself in Lisse in the summer.

There's fun, reenactments, torments, and - perhaps even more importantly, Yuuri Katsuki in tights.
